Oh, a few things you need to be aware of in pvp

1. Scan Strength , ECM units in the Mid-slot can take out your scan strength completely, and when that happens, you can't lock anyone anymore. There are ships specialized in doing this like the Scorpion
2. Signature Radius , shows how easy of a target you are to lock and hit. The bigger it is, the easier, fatter target you are.
3. Scan Resolution , this is just how fast you can lock a target, to make sure they don't run away.
4. Max Velocity , how fast you go, just double it for an afterburner, and 5x it for your MWD
5. Ship Weight , how heavy your ship is, the lighter, the quicker it is at turning and accelerating to top speed.
6. Inertia , how quick your ship is at turning and accelerating, the lower, the better.
7. Defence , Just your basic defence, basically there are ships specialized for a kind of tanking. Basically, mid slots are shield tanking capabilities while low slots are armor tanking capabilities. Shield tanks usually have a weakness vs EM damage, while armor tanks have a weakness vs Explosive.
8. Capacitor , depending on what you're fighting, most of the time 15-20minutes is practically stable. But make sure if you deal with neutralizer towers, blood raider ships, or players that you come prepared with a booster, that can pop 150,200,400 or 800 capacitor into your energy.
Also, always fly with a ship you're ready to lose, I may have little over 1.5b but I only fly 100m ships max.
