no you're right in a lot of ways and hence the fact that I have 3 eve accounts and 2 potbs (which are now free which rules), but just like how I love steak the most I still like to eat chicken some times. In potbs you have a "society" instead of a corporation and I have about 10 eve players in my society, all say that pvp in potbs is more fun than eve. For example, you can control the rudder of your ship making sailing skill play into pvp skill which FPS players may dig for example. I'm not advocating that anyone give up eve for potbs...just saying potbs is worth a try, especially since its free. And as I mentioned, its really easy to trade isk for doubloons or vice versa.
