Srsly, a 1:3 ratio?
Shits like 5$ for 100 mil isk. Yet 10$ will only nab you 260 fg iirc.

fg and isk values change often depending on the eve and jsp market . why would there be any standard rate when the eve market isnt standard by any means. When eve is in a war state isk's value is way up because people are buying alot more ships and alot more fittings. FG's value is pathetic because of the amount of games it can be used for. and the other methods of farming fg from other games then usen that fg on another game. FG will always be worth far less. but... if you want to wait untill say.... maybe this time next year? that value might be down to 2:1 if your lucky or even 1.5:1 like it was at 1 point. otherwise you just gotta pay what the current value is and shut your mouth and wait till the market turns. Eve Is a RTS with a RT market. Everythings value changes OFTEN.

You need to play Eve like you play the stock market.

This is true, the market does fluctuate quite violently at times. I think the most expensive 100 mil isk i've seen was 10$ but that was 2-3 years ago before super mass farming.
It is interesting that you mention that FG is devalued due to it's multiple usage. This seems counter-intuitive as a cross-game monetary system should imply a larger total market volume that supports deflation. Given the FG's primary use for D2 and extremely limited Eve-O community here, however, I guess it's fair to have higher prices up.

On a game related note, where's BoB? Did they change name again?

Ppffftt. I was wondering where the IT alliance came from. So they're the new kenzoku or w/e who was the new BoB. I wonder why they bother to change names so much.

BECAUSE:

Not everyone buy fg with real money, ppl play other games and bet and theres just so many ways of getting fg while having fun, other than just buy them with cc.

So you have fun getting fg, then you have fun buying isks with the fg that you had fun getting. U got me? :)

PS: Now, theres some other reasons that ppl claim of security reasons, but if thats the case I would just buy gtcs or plexes and sell them safely right on market.

Ah, so an alternative way to earn isk. Then the only people that would iso fg for isk are those that use eve online to play another game. Interesting idea
