Pirating, fleeting, or joining the militia?

If you're pirating, I'm in a High-sec pirate corp and we might have room some extra people. Only 2 requirement is that you are willing and able to be an ass (to other players, not corp mates) and you're NOT a trial account.

well, we will be buying the game and subscription as soon as our trial runs. being an ass isnt a problem main reason im starting this game is because of pk system where you can actually lose stuff.

go for militia and you'll learn a lot, join a pvp corp and let them teach you the ropes

also choose a race and stick to it

id go gallente and avoid caldari (i'm a caldari pilot and they suck for pvp unless you have good skills)

vexor and thorax' are both great ships at low sp

Yep. Im Gallente and I cross train Minmatar for the assault ships.

Caldari missile boats are somewhat ok, but need allot to time and monies to get.
Me and my wolf (until my corp mate accidentally blew it up) could easily tackle anything Battlecruiser sized and smaller.

Also have a Dominix drone boat almost rigged for solo lvl 4 missions. Takes a while, but its fun (waiting for T2 ogres and heavy rail-guns to train).

ive heard caldari does great dps,. Ive already started a caldari cruiser im about 2.5 days in. You think i should start over on something new? because i deffinetally will be pvping

Not, not necessarily. Caldari Cruisers are really good at mission running early on, for some nice income. My friend has a Drake missile boat and runs lvl 3 missions well in it.

you can stay caldari, but you can cross train to another race (Like minmatar) for PvP. I chose Minmatar because there ships are 25% faster and are somewhat cheaper, depending on where you buy your ship.
