$30 = 600m isk
10$ = 260fg
$1 = 20m isk
$1 = 26 fg
$.05 = 1m isk
1 fg = $.038
$.05 / $.038 = 1.3
1.3 fg = 1m isk = $.05

Also for the record, this is using the legit (expensive, but CCP endorsed) way of buying ISK, through Eve sponsored GTCs, rather than by buying cheaply from illegal ISK sellers which will get you in trouble with CCP.

thanks for the clear and objective conversions
interesting to think that my 100mil isk/hour equates to approx us minimum wage $5/hr

one thing that fails in the $:fg:isk relationship per these numbers is the fact that the majority of people who are spending fg to buy non d2/ladder slasher stuff (ie other games like eve) arent purchasing fg, they're cashing in on assets from other games in order to get isk. hence the premium, hence 1.3 fg doesn't = 1 mil isk here in this trade forum.

I understand where you're coming from, and of course there are other things that affect the price. I did, however, do the math myself and I was surprised at the results so I figured I'd share them. I'm not trying to dictate a price change or anything, I just found it interesting and though I'd share.

The only reason Isk is so expensive is because there aren't that many people here on the forums. The few people that do sell obviously see a market easy to manipulate and have done so fairly effectively. All it would take is more people showing up here on the forums in order to get an actual price of Isk in fg to show. I think that price would be around 1.5fg per million fairly quickly. But obviously, since there aren't that many people here, and probably most people here are just plain bad at EVE, it is a sellers market for sure. So get more people to play EVE from the jsp forums to get the price to drop.

hmmm 1.3 fg per mil huh? Lmk when you want to sell your hard earned ISK at that rate.. I understand the math and so do many other individuals. But here is the thing.. it's called supply and demand. Since there are buku buyers and very very few sellers, well you know where this is going. Anyways.. when I post a sale of a 100mil isk for sale at 300fg and get response in under a minute.... simple economics says, "Should I maybe charge more?"

Until others want to sell their isk for lower rates or more sellers come to the market - don't expect an ISK sale under 2.5fg : 1 Mil ISK Rate for a while. Hate to say it for some, but it's true...
