Completely new to Eve thought i'd give it a try since a Space Ship MMO Sounds very cool

train your learnig skills to lvl 4. and learning skill rank lvl 5. an a few core skills to get you on your way are:
science lvl 5
cybernetics lvl4
mechanic rank lvl 5
engineering rank 5
electronics rank lvl 5
drones rank 5

science lvl 5 - No
cybernetics lvl4 - lvl 1 is good till you can afford +4 implants
mechanic rank lvl 5 - lvl 4 is good till you really need it
engineering rank 5 - good to have, but not needed till later
electronics rank lvl 5 - good to have, but not needed till later
drones rank 5 - always good to have

If you have any idea what you want to do yet, we would have a better idea on what advice to give. I recommend joining the corp EVE University to really get into the game. They help out a lot with new players as it is very easy to get overwhelmed really quickly. I would say most of the people that sign up for the trail don't last past the first few hours. This is a game where the tutorial is a MUST. I recommend running missions and joining a corp that is newbie friendly.
