first of all and before anything

1st - get standard implants
2nd - train all learning skills to lvl V
3rd - train all core skills to lvl V

then repost this thread and ask again

1 - You realize a set of standard implants is upwards of 70+ mil right? No starting player is going to have that kind of cash, and if they did, they'd be better off spending it on a mission ship. +2's will do fine for starting, +3s once you start doing some level 3's and have cash to spend.

2 - Training rank 3 learning skills to 5 only pays off after many years of traning. At most, train your rank 1 learning skills to 5 (excluding charisma usually unless you are making a trading/leadership character) and rank 3's to 4

3 - Everyone says this, but I personally think you should train whatever you need to to make isk when you first start. There's no point in spending days getting Navigation V, Targeting V, etc as a new player. Heck, even the fitting skills aren't needed unless a particular fit requires it. Whats the point of having Engineering/Electronics/WU/AWU to 5 if all the fits you can use leave you with 25% leftover PG and CPU? It's all about balance.
