First of all, hi :).

Second, I've started playing eve not too long ago and I now use evemon and I realized that I want to do trading. So I've planned 120 days worth of skills to be able to do regional trading and eventually tycoon. However, what opportunities are there for illegal trading? I see that all the skills are listed as non-public. Does this mean they do not exist, or do they exist in a game mission? If its the latter, could someone tell me where/which missions these are?

What is the best way to build a trading route? Currently I research the market and try and memorize certain locations -- but the best I can plan ahead for is 2 locations (3 for round trip). I started using the filters to narrow down my searches within a specific jump range, but in the end I want to have a trade route with 5+ stops that could span 20-30 jumps. This of course is in the meantime while I research the daytrading, marketing, procurement, visibility skills.

Any noob help would be much appreciated :).

I would hold out on 120 days (!) of trading skills until you have ALOT more capital to utilize all those skills. I traded for a long time with a starter trade alt with 50 something trade slots and 800k sps (not possible anymore under the new system but oh well) and it worked fine well into the billions (just trade progressively pricier mods so you don't run out of slots). The best thing to do right now is to create an alt in each of the major trade hubs, with basic trading skills.

The best way to build a trade route is to understand the game and where/when people want items. For instance, pvp mods have traditionally sold well in low sec systems, and missioning related items in missioning systems (ala cap/shield/missile mods). Fly around and take a look at what prices are in different areas (along with the volumes traded). With any luck you could start to build your own mini-hub where people can stock up.

As a final note, the advice I give to any new trader is to look at meta 4 modules. They generally have the highest margins out of anything you can trade and do not require epic amounts of capital to move around.
