well sounds pretty sweet to me. but do u guys think it will take long for me to get into the game becous it has existed in 5 years?
You can never "catch up", it is literally impossible, because just about everything relies on how good your skills are, and skills train in REAL TIME, so everyone is training and you can never have more than the older players than you basically. You can do things right away, level 1 missions, mining, things lke that, but it'll take you about 4-5 months before you can do anything especially worthwhile, and it goes on from there.
Not trying to discourage you, but that's just kinda how it goes, it can be very fun, but it can also be horridly boring while you wait for your skill to train so you can fly your ship properly. (Skills have 5 levels, the 5th level, required to pilot or use certain things and required to get other skills sometimes, START at about 5 days of real time to train. Thats for the very lowest rank of skills (1). Rank 2 skills take 10 days of real time, rank 3 take 15, rank 4 take 20, rank 5 take 25, and so on all the way up to rank like 16 I think for Titan usage. This is for taking skills to level 5 though. Level 4 is 5 times less time, so 1 day for a rank 1 skill, then level 3 is 5 times less than that, so about 5 hours)
This is if you have good learning skills though, they do take a lot longer with poor ones, and it'll take you a month or two to get good learning skills to increase your training speed.
If you do decide to though, the only way to "catch up" isn't really to catch up but is to instead take advantage of the fact that most people have a lot of waste in their skills, they train things they want but don't use a lot, or train for multiple types of ships. You can get places a bit faster if you do a TON of research on the game (it has an intense learning curve), and plan exactly what you want to be doing before hand.
