No problem.

Also I think your stuck in rookie chat for 30 days when you make a new account/char. They can help you out a lot there too. Also you should have been put into a NPC corp, (unless you actually joined a player made one already), they are usually helpful with the basic's also. But be careful, some of them are retarded. If your ever in need of ship help, advanced skill help, or anything else, feel free to post on jsp.

Here is a list of helpful websites though:
Battleclinic.com (Go to the eve section, if your looking for ship builds you can look at the killboard, or even loadouts. Though some loadouts suck, so but they aren't bad to base off of.)

Eveboard.com (You can look at other players char skills. Aka what they have trained. Maybe you see something that you like, maybe you would want to follow they're skill training set.)

Evemon (Program, just google it, it is a great skill building tool)

EFT (Eve fitting program, another program, though this allows you to basically take ships and put mods on them and get hard numbers out of it. Aka, how much dps you do, your effective hit points, resistances, speeds, cap time. Things like that. Although its 99.9% accurate, always rely on the in game actual fitting menu.)

SiSi (Eventually you may want to get into SiSi, its a mirror of tranquility, the eve server. But instead of it being the real live server, it is a real server all by its own. CCP has seeded the market, everything is only 100isk. IT is a testing tool for both the players and CCP. They test new updates, and mass test items. Its fun to screw around on it, you can google it. SiSi stands for Singularity.)

Also utilize the forums, they can help out a ton.

Hopefully I didn't turn you off. You can have a completely normal experience. These programs/sites only add to the experience. :)

No, if his mission is in one system, and yours is in another. Then physically you cannot do it together at the same time. You would have to complete one persons mission at a time.
Ie, you two warp into your mission, and complete it. Then go to where his mission is, and complete it.

tutuorial missions must be completed solo from my experience, after you are done with the tutorials tho, you may do missions from another agent together with your friend. Just fleet up, 1 person grab a mission, and when you complete it, turn it in as fleet. Then the other person grabs the next one and continue on in this fashion until you can get nicer ships and do better missions :)

In my experience, if you give it a month playing in a new player corp you should figure out a basic idea of what you want to do (pvp, pve, indy/mining/science) and have a working knowledge of most of the important mechanics. From there I would STRONGLY suggest you browse the corp recruitment channel on the forums and find a corp that suits your playstyle. You should try to get into a corp and give it at least one more month. Alot of the fun in this game comes from being part of a corp/alliance so don't base your opinion of the game on purely gameplay (although the gameplay is great).

Definitely do this, 1 month is basically what you want to do. I would even say give it 3 months, but thats just me. 2 Months should be good. :)

Don't join Eve University, as seemingly helpful as it is, they are shithole faggots telling you how to play a sandbox game their way (no one does this, and if they do, you need to get away, you'll learn this lesson later in Eve and you'll regret it if you learn the hardway) and don't teach you about pvp in any meaningful way.

Seriously how can you have a learning corp, tell them to stay docked up during wartime, and then not let you take a group into nullsec whenever the fuck you want to shoot people, without their permission. You're not going to get into a nullsec alliance without connections and you're going to get scammed when you have worthwhile amounts of isk, so don't try.

RVB while being shit, at least has some fun pvp ops. So you could shoot for them.

You're going to want to find a group of people to have fun with, or you're going to get bored of the game, there is an alliance called Red VS Blue federation that does quite a bit of small gang and even larger fleet gangs and is relatively cool.

Wardec- War Declaration, an alliance or corporation can declare one against your corporation and then in highsec and lowsec are free to shoot you without Concord (the police) helping you.
Eve Uni- A corp called Eve University, that pretends to be a "school" for Eve to teach things.
