The lack of resistance on the hurricane is laughable. As is the lack of anything EHP on the Vaga. Are these how empire kiddies pvp? I need to head up there sometime and show them whats up.

My vaga never got hit more then 2-3 damage so why need resists?

I used to have a large shield extender, but I swapped that for more dps because I never die anyway :)


The hurricane is another story, I totally dislike that ship.

If I want to kill smaller ships I would take an harbinger
If I want to deal dps I would take a bs
If I want to deal dps AND tank I would take a bs

This ship dies unbelieveble fast, nomatter what resists you have. You better of in a rupture for pvp, those are beasts :)

Do you only fight frigates in your Vaga? Fighting another HAC or even a t1 cruiser you'd take more dmg than that.

I dont know what you do with ur vaga.. But the main thing is to speedtank and choosing targets carefully.

And with speedtank I mean:

Orbit at 20km with full speed and shoot ur target. He won't be able to hit you!

He will be able, depends what is your targets. If you are flying speed tanking ships, AVOID geting in WEB/NEUTRALIZER range ! Watch out for curse, rapier, hugin, and sniping hac (zealot/eagle) :) For BEST pvp setups use scrapcheap-challenge forum (google) Battleclinic sux.

Curse is no problem 1v1, eagles and zealots are my worst enemy, and rapier/huginn are rare lately..

Ishtars, many light drones and heavy tanks are a bigger problem..

Once again you must never fight anyone even close to being called a worthy opponent. If you're fighting someone built for pvp, they are going to be able to hit you. And you WILL get fucked up by anyone smart enough to put a tank on. Apparently you've never been webbed, or fought anyone with any decent tracking skills. Your Vaga fit is just plain wrong, it doesn't matter if you actually get kills with it. (We all know how many pubby trash kids there are in Empire) If you come across a real pvp'er, you will get fucked up bad without any sort of tanking gear.

High
5x Dual 180mm Autocannon II (Barrage of course, you want the falloff.)
1x Medium Unstable Energy Neutralizer or Improved Cloaking Device (for blackops work)

Medium
1x 10mn MWD II (Use T2 for raw speed, Best named for cap stability)
1x Warp Disruptor II
2x Large Shield Extender II

Low
2x Nanofiber Internal II
3x Gyrostabilizer II

Drones
5x Hobgoblin II, Warrior II, or Light ECM depending on area of engagement and gang composition

Rigs
2x Projectile Ambit Extension

Stock T2 vagabond setup, suited to solo or gang work. Does ~350 nominal DPS (less inside falloff) with an engagement range of 24km.

While the given rig and low setup is the best balance of speed and combat range/damage, you can play with it some to suit preference or budget.

Many debates between Vagabond pilots have gone on about whether you should use Dual 180s (better tracking) or 220s (slightly more dps, less ammo consumption). Either gun type fits and there is no clear "best" choice. Something to note is that Dual 180s are required to fit the neut; a cloaking vagabond can pick either.

High slots: Fail, not enough range to speedtank, this is because if you orbit at 15km, your speed will lower to stay in orbit and you don't want that...

Med slots: Fail, unstable

Low slots: Good


Again, tank doesnt matter, if there's any ship who CAN hit you, he WILL kill you nomatter what tank you have. If a ship CAN'T hit you, he WON'T kill you, nomatter what tank you have...
