i guess they are ok for tengu/drake + logi fleets but other than that.....?

hams are for pvp and for dps close pwm...

if ur using web and point u will use hams... becuse u will shoot on close range...

they are lot beter than heavy misles... double dps... heavy misles are only good for tengu and missions or plexs... nothing else

Everyone uses heavies, Hams pretty pointless in 0.0 pvp....

well missles suck in pvp but if use them u use hams... why woud u need range in pvp? this is not diablo u will kill or die and it allways happends in close range dosnt mather what 0.0 op ur doing

dont forget speed still dictates in eve

HM kiting tengu > HAM tengu

the range is really the issue... most cases where HAMs are usefull HMs just dominate in terms of versatility sure the damage is nice but really not worth it (HAM legions can be okay)

also all HAM setups (ie HAM sac) are always worse than other ships of similar caliber.
