implants to start with are either a set of standard implants that give +4 stats or the grade under it which give +3 stats, you can pm me your ign dotaronomy and i can give you more info with links and such. I wouldnt bother with the implant slots 6-10 at first, as they can get pricey and you dont wanna accidentally get your pod blowed up and lose them. You can find full sets of the basic or standard implants in contracts, make sure you pay close attention that all 5 are in the contract and that they are at a fair price. Eve is a world of scammers trying to make isk any way possible.

And if you are going minmatar, I would recommend getting into a rifter (tech 1 frigate) They are easily fittable for both pvp and starting you off in level 1 and 2 missions, where you will most likely spend quite a bit of time while your skills train up, and while you earn isk for bigger and better things.

if you have any more questions shoot me a pm, i can talk to you through here or in-game

*edit* being in third person walking about the station you cant walk or jump. gets on some peoples nerves.

also the +3/+4 stat implants will overall decrease your learning time for your skills.

its one server for everybody, although there are pve 'zones' and pvp zones

There aren't really dictated zones. You can do whatever, where ever. It might not be the best idea, but its an open world. Your not limited to doing one thing in one set location.

I agree with this, you can theoretically get attacked in 'safe' zones.

Just don't fly anything you can't afford to lose.

its actually quite simple, but there is just so much you can do.

shoulda seen it when there was still 2 months of learning skills to learn before you did anything haha. now its much easier to get into.

storyline -> missions -> missions/pvp

should be what you do at first. Mining is optional, very boring haha

meh you really can't compare WoW to Eve at all. Other than millions of people play either.
Game wise though, they are incomparable I think.
The game has a steep learnign curve, it isn't for those who give up easy. Don't worry if you can't get into the game within the first week. It may take months.
Whenever i send out invites, i usually give the invitee a heads up of what they are getting themselves into.

Check that out, it pretty much sums up the game.

Its so unlikely its not even funny. :P
Probably, not. In order to pvp there are 3 zones, each with its own rule.
High sec, Systems with .5 sec to 1.0 sec.
Low sec, Systems with .1 to .4 sec.
And null sec, systems with 0.0 to -1.0.

You are in high sec, (most likely) and the rules of engagement are different there. There is a police force called concord. If someone were to come in and just shoot you (without reason, for example you stealing from them (being a player) is a reason you could get shot by a player) then concord would warp in and kill them.
So unless they want to die, then you dont have anything to worry about.
On the second hand, you could get baited into stealing a can from a player. Players are able to jet cargo out into a can. Anyone can access these cans. So if you go up to someone and take a something out from there can, or move it around inside the can. You are a viable target.

Rule o f thumb. Yellow cans are other players. Whtie cans are yours, your fleet members, or a mission item (usually in the your's category). Blue cans are freebies, meaning anyone can take from then without consequences.

I probably missed something, so someone can step in and share some info. Im too lazy to spell everything out, but i dont mind helping the new guys :)
