cnr with crap support skills = dead cnr , specially because he cannot kil webbing frigates fast enaugh because he can`t apply the raw damage .
tengu with crap support skills = overheat the ab and gtfo

instead webbing i wanted to say scramming . In a tengu you can just burn in the opposite dirrection and put a good distance between you and the incoming dps , while you kill scramming frigs .

no one will argue that a tengu is the better ship, all i'm saying is a raven is fully capable of running L4's and it takes about 2 months of training to get into a lower end one. It takes that long just to sit in a tengu with NO support skills. If you want to wait 5-6 months to have a tengu thats decently fitted then it is definately worth it. On the other hand, if you want to get in a ship that can handle L4's faster then go with the raven.

Tengu is great for speed runs, but getting into a tengu capable of speed runs is a pretty big time investment.

one of my alts is born 3 and a half months ago , he can fly a tengu with 600 dps and very good tank .

BS I-IV + t2 cruise missiles takes more than training time of cruiser V , and Cruiser V opens the path to t2 cruisers , which is very important if he will use this char to pvp in the future. Ravens @ pvp are soo 2008 in Eve Online , they`re good only at gatecamping , and i can think of 10 better BS at this ...

I did mention that if he wants to do any pvp then the tengu is the way to go.

and why waste so much time training for BS if he can train for a tengu much faster ? In large fleets / small fleets / whatsofuckingever he will be asked to come with a drake / tackler / falcon / bb , not a raven . He can train for BS after that , for diversity .

>flying a chimera or a fucking Levi

Way to be the most worthless Cap ship on the field. If you even get into a corp that won't scam your stupid ass.

After Drake get a Tengu.
Tengu is the best ship overall in the game.

yes, getting into a tengu is the better option, but if you are still fairly new to the game dont bother, the risk for losing one is one of your subsystem skills and while its not a big loss its still around 5 days of training lost, and then theirs the price of the tengu itself, (tengu, subsytems and odds are quite a few faction mods if you wanna fly it correctly) what im saying is that the tengu requires $ and good skills. oh yeah and a cnr is vastly cheaper than a tengu if you wanna fit it fully and correctly.
