Lol, I remember when I made 82m an hour mining, had 4 accounts mining, 30days costed 300 mil.
4x 82 mil = 328m
1 hour = 30 days of gameplay

Now it's more like 30m an hour if your mining bistot or arkanor, more if you use a hulk/rorq to boost :)

you need to be online to mine, you need to put the ore in a can, get a hauler to haul the can back to the station etc.

or you could just fill up your cargo and take it back to the station.

Although it is much more efficient to jettison your ore and pick it up later with a hauler
