the nano nerf is going to help the pvpers by slowing down the insane speeds of HAC's up to this point. and if you quit just from that it just is meaning your mad about the changes to make missiles and drones catch their intended target.

More like I'm mad that I'm not able to instapop badly piloted nanoships and will have to deal with idiots in 900dps tanking drakes.

Also not very happy about the nerfs to my max skilled claymore pilot.

:::

Wasted SP is awesome SP.

I never really liked nanos (to fly) although I had the sp to do so. Of course I also have the sp to fly pretty much everything else (lolnerfproof baby). I feel sorry (although not too sorry, DANG GOOD ATTRIB ACHURAS) for people who have specialized their characters for hacs.

Things that are now mildly useless:

Recon 5, have 3 chars with it but only 1 has gallente cruiser 5, 2 have caldari cruiser 5 + maxed ecm so it's not a total loss (til the next nerf)
Minmatar cruiser 5, 3 chars with it
Claymore + all required skills for maxing skirmish gang boners (cs 5, skirmish, link spec 5, warfare link 5, cyber 5) - will still be good sitting at a safespot I suppose, but it'll just die horribly elsewhere.
Around 15m combined in navigation, athough does include some jump skills, but I don't fly capitals!
Gallente bs 5 on 3 chars

On the flip side, things that are now mildly (or even more) awesome:
1 char with 7.5m in missiles/caldari bs 5 that hit every ship in the game without snakes + claymore, don't even need precisions.
3 chars with amarr bs 5, pulse spec 4 (next nerf should move these up to the first section)
2 chars with T2 sentries

And the best thing of all: no characters with minmatar bs 5.

Just another little addition, it's not so much the nerfs themselves, although I'm certainly not happy about a decent chunk of training time being made worthless. It's the fact that CCP consistently bows to the whims of the tiny minority of players who post their complaints on the forums. It does not bode well for the future of eve.

I'll be the first to admit nanos need adjusting. Adjusting doesn't mean completely removing the ability of ships to speed tank against people with bad missile/drone skills. Pretty sure any nano ship dealing damage (spoiler: the only nanoships that deal any significant damage at speed: curse, crow, sac, cerb (lol) ) to my geddon is either 1.) in a large blob with falcon or tracking disruptor support or 2.) dying, or 3.) running in a hurry. If they don't have a faction point or claymore in gang they are in my heavy neut range, and well within pulse range/tracking.

People who think these changes will actually result in their pvp experience improving are sadly mistaken. Instead of 5-7 ship nano gangs you'll be seeing 20 ship remote repping ecm supporting gangs. I guarantee if your gang was dying to the nano gang you'll be dying even harder to remote rep gangs that know what they are doing.

ecm isnt much of a problem because you can boost ur sensor strength to give urself better chance to not be jammed. the main problem was HACs were taking the place of interceptors with their current capabilities of speed.

from the mining side, once you get maxed mining barge (V) and exhumers (V) and T2 crystals and mining upgrades (probably T2) and maybe mining implants you an pull nearly 50mil/hour mining the high end 0.0 ores. Mission running should come in somewhere arround that. Having more then one miner character mining at once is a good idea.

The big bucks are made through:

1) running a large corporation (150+ members) that skims a healthy % off their members, and in turn you skim off that. Even better an alliance that you own the refineries for.
2) having the best t2 bpos back before invention made people trillions.
3) using huge capital (10+ billion working capital) to manipulate key goods on the market.
4) serious invention, like maybe 5 accounts all dedicated to getting datacores and inventing, might be pretty damn profitable ;-)
