Hello ! I've tried once before, but a lot of my friends find the game to be rather boring at start, and quit before giving it a proper chance.

Everything about eve is loveable, especially late- to endgame content. But it is a challenge to keep the players playing.

Now to the very question:
How can I keep them interested in EvE?

I am looking for some youtube material, some convince description or streams that shows the awesome pvp or the cool gameplay that will happen.

I hope this thread will help both me and those who seek other players to start playing with them. I will try to contribute with good stuff as well, if I find any.

I'm not even sure there is a proper category as to what endgame in EVE Online is. Is it getting 100m+ skillpoints? Is it making 1-2 billion a day? Is it doing nothing but pvp? Is it running an empire in 0.0? All of these could be considered end game for different people.

EVE Online is a hardcore game for hardcore players. If your friends pussied out early on they are not hardcore gamers and should go back to wow or some other kids game. No offense.

If a player cannot see the potential of what could be later on then I don't think convincing in various ways will help much.

none taken;P
No the definition end game content in EvE online can vary from person to person. I should probably have clearified that, but here goes:
end game content is sort of what you said. Making big moneys, being part of something huge, build up your own empire and be able to make history.
My friends are hardcore players, but they are seeking the pvp which will arrive later on ingame. After they've tried it, they'll also be interested in other sorts of things. So my problem is just to show them some awesome pvp movies on youtube, or other attractive material:)

I would say get your friends to join factional warfare. Most of the fights there are in frigates and destroyers. That means they could go out in a cheap ass rifter, punisher or similar and it would be pretty easy to find fights. They will most likely run into difficult opponents such as destroyers and assault ships, no doubt, but that's part of the pvp learning curve, to find out what your ship is and is not capable of. But to say pvp only takes place in later stages is quite incorrect, more people can fly and afford to lose smaller ships and thus there are a lot of fights to be had, especially in factional warfare where sentry guns won't interfere.

Factional Warefare sounds really interesting for new players, will definatly add that to the list:)
But I am still interested in some cool/awesome/really well made videos of some content in eve. Both to help my new friends, but also to help others who consider starting, or others in my situation who wants his friends to join eve.

Look into tournaments!

Tournaments offer both new and old players an arena to test wit + player skill. It is an awesome environment, and for myself being a bittervet I rarely do most things on tranq aside from the tournaments.
In fact I have flown in every tournament after ATX.

Right now, the SCL (syndicate competitive league) is in full swing. I highly recommend looking into the it!
There should be plenty of videos + commentary considering all of these tournaments are streamed:)

They could also look to join the corps, Red or Blue for the ongoing war they have. They fight in T1 Frigates and Crusiers and they should get plenty of action to learn how to use their ship to the best of its ability.

That and EVE University is a good start. Later on RvB is pathetic and total shit though, at least for me, fighting scheduled fights with certain set rules is really boring as it takes any and all thrill of the hunt out of it, which is why most people actually pvp. It also takes the skill of finding opponents out of it, such as probing people down.

Tournaments sounds really fun:) would be awesome to find some already stramed movies which is (filmed well ingame). I've seen a couple and one of them didn't really show the (good view)

@nwccfhmello @ChiLLon
We(I) are looking to make a corp and stay in it, then make an alliance later(Much later) on.
BUT, for new players, Red vs Blue sounds like an ok idea. But as ChiLLon mentioned, you are not getting the essence of PvP in eve, just some (fun) action
