It seems Eve is making their game even more resource intensive. I'm gonna laugh when they reduce their playerbase again because some of the people's computers can't keep up with the changes. My processor starts heating up when I have 3 instances running.

Are they having another upgrade?

from the latest expansion, almost all the graphics updates you can turn off in the options, i dont see a problem with it.

I too run multiple eves, as well as 3 d2 mf bots....and I'm running on older gear 08 range, you might want to try not buying a walmart/best buy computer learn to build, or make a friend

I run multiple copies of games like SC2 (all games are played at max settings) quite frequently along with many background processes (including one of the heavier anti-virus programs [Norton]) As well as generally 20+ Chrome tabs/itunes/skype. I have no performance issues when doing this. When I load up 3 instances of Eve I get an average core temp of 60. My processor should not be working that hard when this game is running. It has steadily increased as they've added features to the game. They are not making changes to the architecture behind the game but just adding more shiny crap to crap. They need to take a step back and look at revising old code a little more like they said they were going to do in order to provide performance boosts. Eventually they are going to get to the point where they are going to have to do this anyways. The sooner the better.
