Jump clones and your "medical" clones are different things. Jump clones are clones that you can have to move between regions very quickly. They also save the implants for each clone. Such as, you have a set of +4's on one jump clone and nothing on another. You can switch between them. For instance, when you go tp pvp, you use the jump clone that has no implants on it so you don't lose your +4's in the instance you get podded. Jump clones require the skill Informorph Psychology to use and a standing of 8+ if you're in an npc owned station. The other kind of clone saves your skill points and no skill required, only isk to upgrade to the each clone type. In the instance that you die and your clone is not updated, then you lose all the skill points that you trained most recently up until your remaining number of skill points matches that of how much the clone type saves.
Thanks for the response. I helped clear a bit up. But to clarify a bit more.
Are you ever able to fly around in your medical clone?
What makes jump clones able to move between regions quickly? Unless you mean they are just able to pilot ships.
With jump clones, do they always have your most up to date skills? And if you are researching a skill and it finishes, will all of your jump clones then have the new skills?
Theoretically I can have Clone A with implants that never leave a station for learning skills. Then have Clone B to be used whenever I leave the station in case I die?
Is the medical facility only used for medical clones? Or is that suppose to be used for jump clones?
This whole clone thing has to be one of the most confusing things I'm trying to comprehend in the game currently. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for me to understand.
