I'll be starting this game most likely tomorrow night. I already have a 21 day invite trial. Some of the basic questions I had were...

Is there any difference between the different races?
Are there actually "classes" or professions in this game? As in will there be one I have to choose at the start of this game?
Are there character levels? I know there are skills which you can upgrade, but are there character levels?
Does anyone know of any newbie guides or videos to watch? I've been looking on the main forum for guides, but I haven't found anything. I've been watching youtube vids of how to mine and looking up various other guides online. Anything you can point me to would be very much appreciated to help me get started. Just and tips or tricks I should be working on when I first enter the game besides the in game tutorial.

Essentially, the race of the character doesn't matter a whole lot, besides a very minor ammount of race specific training when you start a new character. You can train any character to do anything.

Races at the moment are just for the roleplay aspect of the game, and faction warefare/who you want to run missions for. Professions are done through the training of skills, skills in eve train over time(including time you are not online) which has always been my favorite part of eve, my character gets better even if i don't play.

I forgot to mention in pm's, but the char's "lvl" is based on how long youve trained for. There isnt really "lvl's" in the game, but a comparasion is that eve has skill points. skillpoints tell a player how long you have trained/possibly played eve. But that information is only available to the owner of the char You can choose not to give it out if someone asks.

Is there a way to make the UI bigger without lowering my resolution? All of the font (besides chat which I figured out how to make bigger) is tiny. Have to squint to read all of it.

been playing all night and morning now. Got more than half way through my tutorial mining mission. Starting to get this game little by little. There are still a ton to learn I know, but I'm starting to get some of the basics down. This game really seems like a sit back and watch type of game where very little player skill (if any at all) is involved. PvP seems like it's whoever has the best ship? And corp vs corp would be whoever has the most members?
