social community are the jewels of an MMO.

Just curious how mature/nice people are, or how ego/pvp bound they are, or how troll/drama they are?

e: like for me, civilization 5 fanatics seems to be the most mature community, where they don't care who's better or worse, will help you out on guides, and still just want to explore/test out civilization while sometimes just militarilisticly dominating you.

its really all of the above, you meet all kinds of people and personalities. Its a great game and once you start you dont want to stop. And if you quit, you will come back Theres so many different things to try in the game that it never really gets boring. I would advise trying a lot of them before you make your decision to quit if thats how you feel after you begin playing.

its alot more mature and intelligent than the people on runescape i give u that.

I've met more adults/mature people playing Eve than any other game i've played just because of the type of game it is. For the most part kids would get bored of this game easily just because of how it's set up. I rarely deal with trolls/drama, though there is a lot of egotistical people just because they have their shit upgraded and know it would be hard for you to kill them or be better than them, but that's with any game.

I remember you FROM runescape, so, you switched to EVE?


edit: Does this game handle my-side lag well? or will I be severely crippled/frustrated from my-side lag

so far it's ok, I've met nice people, but ofc there are some ' immature noob hostile gtfo 5M sp noob ' same as in IRL , but in minority!

in a corp u have opportunities to develop strong relationships with ur corpmates because ur connected 24/7 via corp chat(u appear in corp chat the minute u log on) and ur forced to socialise with each other everyday unless u choose to be anti social and not talk to anyone lol,i find that in most games most relationships dont last long enough to be significant,in fact most are brief since people are only interested in getting u to do something for them or give them things.

eve is a communal game which require alot of people to work together to accomplish something,u as a individual is insignificant in eve,eve is won not by the individual player's skill but by hard work and resources of the people.which is why the russians are a superpower in eve,they are used to being mindless drones in a huge colony like ants,working tirelessly nonstop in a final solution to erase all other alliances from the face of eve.

Only a very few people who are Russian are not actively botting. The rest are literally all bots.

So far i had very few bad situations, ppl are mostly firendly and helpfull, atleast in high sec

after entering the free trial, is there a chat to guide me through any questions I stumble upon?
