Well , i would like to organize a d2jsp pvp tour for Eve players ... and i wonder if there will be some competition , or it will be boring as hell .

First of all , to warm up , a t1 frigate tour would be nice , everyone put up 10 m ISK as entrance fee , then fight for the jackpot + wrecks (winner takes all)

1v1 , in a non populated low-sec system (it`s pretty easy to find imo) , or if someone`s Alliance will allow us pew pew in their space would be nice as well .

if things go well and people enjoyed it , we can move to bigger things , such as t2 frigate / cruiser / BC etc :D

rules will be simple :
Quote
Start 20km from center container (Placed at start of tourny).
Don't go 50km outside of the center container.
No warping out.
Fight to the death.

I voted yes, however its not gonna be with 10mil per that you will do it ;)

better go to something like 200mil entrance fee, 10 players minimum before it starts, and winner takes 75%, second place 20% and third place 5% which is the entrance fee paid back basically with 10 players!

i`ve suggested a small ammount because i have notticed lots of players who just started / requested new account activation and 200m would be bit much for them to ask , when they don`t even know how to proper fit their frigs :D

i would even do it without a fee , just for teh lulz ^^ it would be nice if we could make the Eve community from jsp a bit more united & sharing fun and shit like that ... i could organize bigger events if this goes well and we will have enaugh ppl who could afford it , but for start i think it is nice as i suggested it .

Also 10 ppl = kindda fail ammount because you can`t make a tournament in second phase with 5 people ... 8 or 16 would be perfect .
Also t1 means without pirate / faction frigates , but you can use faction / deadspace modules if you feel like :)

so far it`s 3 people ... good start :)

might be true , might be not true ... but as soon as they start pvp`ing , they might like the taste of it :P
and we need 16 people in this , to be really interesting , so anyone is welcomed :D

we can host a 100+ m ISK tour , for the old players , though 100m = ~200+ fg , it`s a really small ammount for anyone ^^

Also to avoid picking only long range setups , a good starting idea would be this one :

we pick a planet , both players warp to whatever distance they want , this way no one could take advantage from the distance to take few extra volleys , because the initial distance would be random :D

i still think that players who already are into pvp or are not new to eve wouldnt want to spend their time around 10mil or 100mil per complete pvp tour win.

I mean its all fun and all that, but still, if you wanna do this for fun just go to some random low sec and start shooting everyone.

I speak to myself, I wouldnt wanna spend my time neither efforts of putting together a nice 50-100mil frigate setup just to come here and bet 10mil :/ no sense at all, the ship alone is worth more than the tour prize?

Im saying theres a lot of players who often come check on these forums, but for 10mil you're not gonna call their attention.

Maybe if you do some really nice bets and winning prizes, you would get this tournament famous not only in jsp but also outside jsp, think about it!

real gamblers bet high and thats where the fun is at.. but thats just my opinion..

Couldn't we do it in some unpopulated high sec area if we fleet up first? would prevent podding
