I'm excited to try this game, played wow, but seemed a bit too childish to me (had a few 80s, destroyed pvp ect), but the sandbox idea of this game, and awesomeness of space overwhelmed me, and I couldn't stop watching trailers ect. If anyone would be kind enough to pm me r post information here that would be beneficial to someone just starting the game with very minimal knowledge of anything.

In game goals: Pvp really :).

thanks in advance, hope to see you guys in game :P

I'm not the most advanced Eve player out there, not nearly..

But I will say this. Early game, What Skills you Train and the order in which you train them can save you A LOT of time.

pay close attention to what race you select along with what ships skills, gunnery, or other you train, check the info tabs and look at what attributes they utilize. Train Learning skills appropriately, this will massively reduce training times.
Otherwise. I would highly recommend visiting EveWiki, they have an incredible amount of information.

others may not agree with me but a pvp habit in eve takes isk to maintain so i recommend figuring out how you're going to make some asap. mission running is probably your best bet and a great way to get the hang of your ship. i went the mining route, just because its an easy way to make isk while doing other stuff like watching movies and cooking dinner

I agree, pvp ships blow up a lot, unless you are scared to actually pvp and only aggro miners and haulers. Missions are good, but if you plan to play eve for awhile, start looking into trading.

I also agree, you do need a good income to support pvp habits, it can get quite expensive if you are not familiar with pvp, ive done missioning, mining, and ratting to get income, mining is best i you are afk alot, missioning gets you way more isk @ lvl 4 missions, but you need to be there most of the time, and ratting is great in 0.0 sec, but you have to be careful as well, unless you find an alliance thats friendly towards you, get the income first, get used to the shiptypes you want to fly, then, try pvp
