I run a corporation called Comparative Advantage [COAD] and we're just starting recruiting. We're currently empire industry based, and primary want to help new players learn how to play better and function as a team. We're in negotiations to join an alliance that will help us fulfill our goals to our members better. We're looking for people who want the benefits of being in an empire alliance, want to learn how to function as a team and be gently introduced into pvp guided by experienced players. What is to be gained of an empire alliance other than it's more expensive for someone to war dec you?

More people to come fight the war with you, people to talk with, goals that go beyond just a single corps.

I just started playing a couple weeks ago and may be interested in joining. I am currently in a corp that only has 6 active members and we are trying to fight a war (i cant do much ofc) and i am getting kind of sick of them. Shoot me a pm with some of the specifics of your corp. i.e. nmber of members, what you guys normally do together, and stuff like that.

Well right now it's me and darkfire (the guy with the sticky here in this forum) and thats it right now. We're recruiting more people, and not at war. If you decided to come with us you'd be technically the first member to join. We just started recruiting, any friends you've made would be welcome to come join as well.

Me and darkfire have extensive experience in Eve, been in several major alliances (just left KenZoku, the former BoB), before that we was in Tri, FIX, IRC, ASCN. We're in the final stages of joining a small empire alliance which will give you a couple hundred other people you can fly with. The alliance does quite a bit of ops in low-sec and even some in 0.0. We're planning on training our members how to properly fly in fleets, fight, live in 0.0, small and large gangs. If what you're looking for is a very laid back friendly atmosphere with some experienced players to balance questions off of, and a corp that has plans to eventually move to 0.0, then you should join us.

Most of the reason behind joining an Empire alliance is the ability to have bigger goals while still remaining a small corporation. We've tried the big 0.0-PVP alliance thing, and it's just not fun anymore. That said, we wouldn't mind being able to try to do some small-scale (in 0.0 terms) warfare eventually. An Empire alliance looking to move up is just the right way to do that, we think.
