the earliest client i remember playing was 7.1

Maybe started before that even :P

the game was vastly different pre 7.0

game looked like this:

several game mechanics were different aswell, such as true invisibility vs spellcasters in pvp, inability to use runes and attack at the same time (if the runes didnt lie on the floor). no cross cooldown for instantspells and runes (you could say fire an sd and then instantly hit them with an ewave when it hit). actually there were no cooldown to runes, instead they had a delay on firing, which made the mage classes alot harder to play (they were veeery deadly in the right hands though, far more dangerous than post 7.0).

game was fuckhard and glitchy as hell. i loved it
