Its 100% mandatory in pvp and later in pvm as a sorc or druid.

Mana shield is only waste/useless/lame if you use the spell utamo vita in both pvm/pvp > energy ring better in all kind of situations

ya ;) Gotta learn how to handle energy rings correctly without stress and you'll survive twice as good as before ;)

Utamo vita is the worse spell ever imo. Energy rings are the only way to go.
