if you are lvl 60+ its worth transfering if you really want to

if your lvl 1-59~ area its easier to just make a new char

It's mainly fun for the pvp and the mentality of the people you hang out with.
If you're more of a solo player, tibia isn't much of a game for you unless you'd play it pure for the excitement of finding something valuable.
