i just stood for 20 minutes and Lazine (aos1 fish) didn't drop his defense... did something change? when he spawned i atacked him once and returned to the stairs... 5 min after i got bored of waiting and decided to go hit him again...10 min after hitting and going back and shit, i decided to suicide... i came back and hit him once and stood in stairs waiting for him to lower his defense and still he didnt...
edit: afk chopping my balls, forgot to talk to the snake head after defeating all the mobs

I would say that depends on the situation, if its an easy dungeon where you can survive without problems then bm3 no question. But since bm3 leech is waaay worse than bm2, some dungeons might be easier using bm2 if you have trouble surviving.

BM3 = more dmg less def
BM2 = more def less dmg

Try BM3 everywhere. If you feel you die too much, switch to BM2. That's what I did =)
