You have to test and calculate to be get truly accurate information for what the optimal player amount is. Do 100 cow runs with 3 players: note average rune time, repeat for 1 player. You can find a spreadsheet somewhere to help you compare. I'd say that p3>p1 any day though unless you'r using a single-target attack (berserk!?) for mf'ing.
Its true that ghost-type monsters have 4x rune drop rate as normal monsters; it comes at a price though as they cannot drop "regular" items at all except for bosses. Only gems, runes, pots, scrolls/arrows and gold.

The Silospen calculator is inaccurate for rune drops; they're based on the "beta" 1.13a values, you can find the correct probabilities on the german calculator.

ah okay :/ are the ratios between different player settings at least correct?
i think i will use grief and kingslayer. all i know for sure is that i will use grief + another phase blade, let me know what you think

Yes the ratios are correct. If you're set on using another phase blade then you better find another Lo ^^
Otherwise Oath is obviously the way to go. If you're running Undead areas you could try Azurewrath if you have it.

With a Javazon nothing even comes close to cowruns for finding runes but it can take some patience as cows suck for most other things...

Been doing good cows mostly with my Amazon. Using thundergods atm since I don't have razortail

So p3 cows it is. I've been doing em on p1 until now..

yes i figured, grief is so op just cant stand the sight of 2 different weapons on the same barb.

i do have azurewrath and i guess its cool in cs, its just that i hate the knockback from the aura
i might use lightsabre for now, it also has manaleech wich means i can keep goldwrap and nagelring on

tack ska fundera på det! men det lutar åt kingslayer i pb, kommer ha användning av det i framtiden också när jag ska göra ubers.

It's probably better to use Oath 2H and stash the grief for now unless it rolls very poorly ^^
