I was curious and tried to Google drop rates etc.
But is there a chart for how players ingame affect the Mf you currently have on you.
Like, if I have 500 mf - would that mf be worth more or increased in a 8p game?
It's not so straight forward. # of players in the game/party merely decrease the "NoDrop" chance meaning the volume of items dropped per kill increases. SuperUnique monsters like Eld, Pindleskin, Seal bosses in CS already have a NoDrop chance of 0 - they always drop 2 items and 4 potions regardless of player amount. Their minions will drop more though with higher players.
MF has no impact on the volume of drops - it only increases the likelyhood of a drop being magic/set/rare/unique. This is why you hear people saying MF doesn't increase rune drops. If you want to fully understand how drops are determined I'd recommend you look up Hrus' MF guide from diabloii.net. Even if you don't care about the details it's still valuable if you want to improve your farming efficiency.
