Just walking around the city gives you a good clue what you might like. ( which goes for most large cities I assume )
As previously mentioned, old town, or 'Gamla stan', is worth checking out, go into the small streets and weird looking shops and churches and whatnot. Check out the old buildings, churches and the royal castle.
There are probably a museum or two in Stockholm worth checking out. I like vasamuseet, militärmuseet and fotografiska especially.
The peninsula outside Stockholm is very beautiful and really worth travelling to/through, maybe a trip to the fortress on Vaxholm for example.
I don't know where to find good swedish food as such, swedes generally eat stuff like hamburgers, kebab, asian and other types of food from other cultures. I guess you have to google some good resturants if you want to find good traditional food.
thanks a lot

flight and hotel in stockholm is booked now

we thought about getting the stockholm-card for 3 days (~900 SEK) to get free entry in most of the sightseeing places and especially free subway/bus + free bike rental, to drive around in the city
guess that could hit your point of "walk around the city" pretty good ?
