Well Being an American and not understanding that many swedes are shy and have a large personal bubble I'm the one starting the conversations.

Generally after I compliment them on their English skills and find a common interest they open up quite easily.






I'm 5'11. lot's of the Swedish girls are 5'8-5'11. I love being eye level with women

That's the thing though, imagine a country where everyone is shy and noone is starting the conversation UNLESS alcohol is involved, that's Sweden.

As an introverted person l I understand the concept but have learned to find a way to meet new people for multiple reasons.

#1 Being forever alone sucks.

#2 Introverts are often portrayed in a negative light in North American culture.


I have no idea how awkward I have made the Swedes I talk to feel but they seem to enjoy conversation.
