What are rupees?
I'm downloading the game now with a friend, and I have no idea what this game's about or how it works.

Explain to me what these rupees are (like gold, I think), and I may consider purchasing.

Rupees are the game's currency. People use it to buy/sell stuff and that's pretty much it.

It drops like gold from monsters.
