My friends and I started out fresh. I also made my own char and in just an hourish I found multiple drop worth ~2M each....There are many nice people on Fenrir as I can walk into Horizon and get buffed easily.
My char that I started on my own leveled up faster than with a party and I was also able to complete more faster alone minus a couple boss chars.
For DPs.
Not saying it's impossible to play without it, what I mean is that you will be spending a lot of time grinding and leveling, whilst you could sit in a DP and watch your char grow.
