in the past, perhaps 80% of all fresh gems are gotten from minebots (there's a tool called COtobo, incase you dont know, it auto-does almost everything, automining, autopotting, autoreloading, autodropping, autoDCing, list goes on; except hunting lol), but now, i think UNLESS COtobo is blocked in this new patch, most of the higher (ref - super) gems will still be gotten from minebots, i mean... look... a guy with multi-client and COtobo can have 20 miners online at the same time mining... he originally (like now) gets lets say 30 gems each night, now he'll get 15 gems per night, but there are just so many of these guys who do this kinda thing, multiply 15 by 100 (more than that on older servers) and you still get 1.5k fresh gems daily into the game, PLUS so many hunt-botters around, THEY now get gems too (i think gems outside drop 1/2 mets' chances, source not trusted though), so you add those up and the number won't be that depressing.
