why at lvl 4 prof am I able to use a lvl 5 skill required rod?

Only Njaguar knows why he programmed it this way. Its like this for all rods tho - usable at a certain level below what it says is the requirement.

I never paid attention to exact levels.

Just a warning tho, higher level rods get a lot more expensive. Master fishing with the cheapo rods before you step up to the big leagues
