EE swords, upgrade every 5-10 levels preferred
EE armors (scale/leather preferred, chain/plate work ok), upgrade every 5-10 levels preferred
+Life charm at low levels, +Strength charm at mid/high levels. Only need a few upgrades here, weapon/armor are more priority to upgrade
When at ~half HP, go to town to shrine/regen. Not worth risking going lower if you are not familiar with HC or your gear is sub-par. Nothing like getting one-hit KO because you stayed in Catacombs longer than you should.
When I solo, I use Doublestrike, Retribution, and Powerstrike. Using this on Fighter/Barbarian, and it works pretty well. Doublestrike takes a few ranks before its good, but once you get it leveled some, it's great for soloing. Powerstrike/Retribution are for EP and finishing mobs that freeze/spawn.
Stat 100 vita minimum. Some go more.
Stat the rest to strength once vita is where you want it.
