what makes daggers > swords or axes or clubs or anything else?


based on what classes can use what id think swords/longswords > daggers but I feel I don't have all the info...
I heard something about crits n stuff but I was new at the time and didn't understand what people were talking about
if someone could enlighten me on the subject id be appreciative. Currently have a full club set, debating on working on a dagger set aswell

Well.. daggers can be used by feeder, sammy, monk + ninja.. they also offer the most "controlled" hit.. and less deviation from an average.

I wouldn't say that they are better than anything else, but they are more versatile.. Anyway, in order to climb through all classes you would still need a caster set and/or axe for HH and pally.

In essence, Daggers and Axes can get you through all melee classes, where as a sword and axe set would not get you through monk. (still would need staffs/daggers)

and as addition to this you just dont only need swords/axes + staves to play all melee classes but also str + dex gear for swords and staves while you can play dagger + axes with dex gear

so idealy I should get an axe set, a dagger set, and dex robe set and im good feeder-alchemist?

caster gear for warlock is needed also

depends on your fg. because daggers and axes are most sought after they are more expensive. if you don't have the fg then swords/staffs are the way to go you could even melee warlock if forced to, but your giving up a very good caster.

Befor u go melee lock, cast Monk is an Option Too

You only Need sword+ Str gear / Int staff/Robe Cast/heal Charms and u can get all the Way Till Hh

if you want to stay longer at ls the smartest thing you can do is getting dagger, axes, dex robes, dex charms (good for all melee classes.. but warlock is casting.. ) --> int staves, int robes, casting charms (same element), heal charms (i would go with heal or foc heal)
if you have all that.. you can look out for a tanking scale/leather set and make sure that your charms can be used by a headhunter (long way until that though)

melee lock would be a waste.. and casting monk wont be as good as a melee monk. (casting monk is useable at higher lvls.. i still dont like it too much because of the low int/mana)


depends ofc on your budget.. but if i had to start out on a low budget.. i would do it like i said.
