every 200+ item ive found or seen drop has been in multiple trap doors down.
Ive seen the 260 spear drop 246 long sword 210 focus a 222 wind and a few 190 lvl 45 swords. ALL in tds last season.

Trap doors used to deliver +xp (at least +3 lvls) each time you took one, but this effect has been removed.
The current TD effect is tougher mobs, loss of xp gain, loss of prof gain, minimal upgrade(if any) to drops
The frequency of wells appearing has nothing to do with TD's as this is a random occurrence no matter where you are.
The only place wells are guaranteed NOT to appear (along with TD's and spins) is in a map-generated maze.
I disagree almost completely. The mobs are tougher yes but its not at a loss of xp, if any xp is lost its due to the slower killing rate of the monsters. Prof is increased if anything because you are attacking more how does more attacks equate to less prof? It just doesn't make logical sense. I solo all the time and i take all tds i find My prof gain does not change nor does my lvl speed it stays the same at 4-6 mins at 55+ depending on ep and quest frequency.
Honestly rick has avoided tds for seasons now so i feel he is just speculating. He used to leave games and force a remake when i took tds last season or throw a bitch fit about how useless they were.

It would make sense the deeper you are in a catacomb, the more valuable the booty.
Paul said so himself. "the harder the mob the better the drops" So it makes sense that by entering tds which makes the mobs tougher in turn the drops would get better.
