Hey guys!
I'm interested to try out Ladder Slasher as I heard its pretty fun.
I read through the beginner guides but still got small questions:
  • What character is still the best ( in this case the cheapest ) to start with?
  • As a Barb needs Strenght, Mage Intelligence and Fighters probably dex (unsure about this tho), do the items on the chars need the specific stats ( like barb-str on armors/weapons/charms ) to cause more dmg?
  • Is it easier to play solo through the game or in a party? Which does give more experience? And better drops?

Thanks in advance if anyone is ready to help me out! :)
Cheers!

You will want to pick a character based on the gear you have, check weapon ratios for what stats to boost. For instance barbs need strength if they use clubs because 90/10 ratio or something like that, conversely if you use daggers you want all dex.
If you cast go all int for that mana and damage
If you go hardcore pump some vitality for survivability.
Groups are WAY faster but you will need to have good gear to be accepted into one, especially on softcore. Solo is ridiculously slow. Ridiculously.

THe game is more beneficial for groups , although with the playerbase its hard for players of your stature to get into groups.

As for your starting character id say go with a barb/fighter. They have a wide range of weapons/armor they can use and the weapons they can use are on the cheaper side.

As you progress in the game more characters unlock giving you more powerful chars then the starting chars.

GRoup is better for everything, but you do risk on rolling the dice for drops as its a cut throat drop system :P
