So is the critical strike stats based on a 100 scale?

for example +4 critical strike will add like 4 percent increase in crits?

Also Im not sure what changes are since 2009 but does dex only give crit chance or is it str and dex doesn't matter anymore?

i think it is based on % to perform a critical strike /100
it is generally taken that 1cs= 2-3 dex or str
in my OPINION, cs is more important with lower ee gear because with higher ee you dont need to crit to 1 hit kill
chances to crit are based upon the weapon ratio

Hey Labat, that covers it. But what does it mean chances to crit are based upon the weapon ratio? Does that mean that different classes of weapons will have different crit chances even with "same amount of crit strike"?

so you will do most crits with more strength
Generally just put all stat points in the higher ratio

Str / Dex only adds damage.
Ratios in both (based on weapon type) is suppose to increase the chance of doing a Critical Strike.
... NOTE: It has been stated before that the lower stat out of the ratio increases the chance a little bit more, but there is also a diminishing return if you put more in it.

Critical Strike on an item to me is like +1 Critical Strike = 1 chance per wave (not necessarily a % [percent])

you can hardly tell how much % 1 CS exactly is.. i guess only paul is knowing that..
for me 1 CS works at least like 3 dex.. so my 26dex 11CS charm works at least as good as my 57dex charm..
you cant directly calculate 1 CS = 3 dex or something like that.. i think this will be a bit different depending on total stats you got.. and also on the weapon type you use
but for me on daggers it is raughly like 1 CS = 3 dex

i also dont beleave that taking the right ratio is giving you more crits.. i crit alot on axes if i go like 120 str 120 dex.. and i crit a lot with axes if i go like 30 str 210 dex..
i also crit a lot more on axes than on daggers.. imo the ratio only tells you which stat you should get... so simply the higher number.. axes will show a lot less dmg than daggers since you get 9ee for 10dex on daggers but just 5ee for 10dex or str on axes..
to balance that.. you simply crit a lot more on axes.. so at the end axes work as good as daggers with similar gear. (this was totally unbalanced at the start when ratios got introduced.. there you critted a lot more with daggers)


btw if i should guess.. i would say without CS i crit like every 15-20th hit with daggers.. with my 11 CS charm i crit like every 3-4th hit at least.. so around 5% getting to around 30% with 11 CS for me.. but thats only guessing.. you cant tell it exactly.. you need to do a lot testing and count your normal hits vs your crits on no CS and CS gear

After doing some testing with +12 CS vs 39 Dexterity... I have come to the conclusion that it is by far better to use the 39 Dexterity.

When using the CS gear my average was lower and I only achieved 2 extra Critical Strikes out of 100 attacks compared to the 39 Dexterity item (note that this was done more than once)

Example:
CS charm = 44str/88dex = 7 Critical Hits out of 100 = 330 min [avg] / 525 avg [avg] / 1251 max [avg] (12 CS charm)
39 charm = 40str/127dex = 5 Critical Hits out of 100 = 424 min [avg] / 634 avg [avg] / 1591 max [avg] (39 dex charm)

More dmg stat = faster kill speed.

Just know that CS is an amazing stat. Not enough to be the main stat on an item imo but is most definitely a great addition :)

Sorry to sound noob I don't understand this atm? I don't see anything about critical strike here? How much critical strike was used or 0?

Not sure whats going on sorry still newbie lol.

CS = Critical strike and you can see I said +12 CS
