so i did a dagger rogue but idk if i like that kind of rogue

ive heard of caster rogue and i am kinda interested in it

also would a staff be a good melee wep for a rogue?

dagger rogue is a good choice.
get dex robes and dex charms as well.. so you can play samurai as well.. and if you pass to paladin you just have to buy axes.. then you will be good until warlock.

caster rogue isnt a good idea.. you could choose a mage for casting which would be a lot better choice.
staff would be ok for rogue BUT you couldnt use it on samurai and on ninja.. so if you want to go with staves.. then you should buy swords as well.. but that means you need dex AND str gear (dex for staves, str for swords)

I agree melee first casting is cheap but mages are squishy.. and require lots of shrines
