But bear in mind that you will have to unlock the paladin first.

You dont have a paladin therefore you need no gear. U can't play him.

depends on the gear you are using on feeder + sammy.. if you use dagger and axes.. you can use axes on pally + dex gear / tank armors..
if you used swords on feeder and sammy.. you can go on using swords on pally (+str gear / tank armors)
