Need some questions answered havent played ls in about 3 years, have some left over gear at this link http://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?c=3&i=423751 not sure if any of it is worth keeping or selling. Also looking for tips and a guide about a powerfull build.

Looks like most of your stuff would be for casting, which is good if you plan to start on Mage. I can say that casting every class is not as easy as it once was, at least not without some real high end gear to allow you to do so. You can however make a Mage to climb with and not need to purchase much more, you have a lot of the basics down.

The game is a bit more balanced now (I guess?) as compared to how it used to be. The Mana Regen items you have are not nearly as necessary anymore, because you can easily shrine and return to combat quickly. Group play has sped up climbs significantly, so getting in with a decent guild can really help you climb quick and easy.

Trying to transfer a charm from one char to another and it will not allow me to do so, is there a limit to the amount of transfers in a certain amount of time?

Is there an empty slot for the item to occupy once it has been transferred to the other character? Check to make sure of this first and then retry.

Edit: are you trying to transfer an item from your hardcore character to a softcore one? This is not allowed. Both characters must be on same core.

open slot and both on softcore....

I assume you are transferring through the market place. Try to transfer to another character and see if that works. Sounds kinda weird

is there still a forum to post for starting ls to get a small fg donation??? cant remember where it was but i remember there is one
