im new and i would like to no a good mage build

10 vita, rest int
2* power cast, 2* pierce cast, 2 * 3rd mage ability, other ability points evenly into these 3

lvl 1-20 staffs/robes with as much max mana as you get (some int doesnt hurt as well)
charms ee/ heals ee (try to stick with one kind of charms and heals)
lvl 25-55 staffs/robes with as much int as you can get
charms ee/ heals ee (try to get a new charm for at least every 10th lvl.. so lvl 25-35-45-55)

it is also an option to start lvl 1-10 or even 1-20 with melee gear.. so same statting of vita/int/abilities but just dagger/dex gear.. and then switching to casting lvl 20 or so

Another way from level 1-24 is using EE staves, Dex Armor and 180+ Max Life Main charm and a heal in your Acc Slot or a combination with either Max life armor and dex charm.
you will find that you can kill fast with Melee gear from those levels... Faster Killspeed = less time healing / shrining.

ee staves?

Staves with Enchanted Effect. The more ee on a weapon/charm, the damage it deals when used.
Ee on armor raises the defence of the armor.
