Take for example a heartwood rod that is tier 6 but the skill rank is whats important so when you look at this chart for wood (monster level +25 is skill rank)

Tier/ Quality/ Level Req/ Monster Level/ <-- Monster level = rank level.
1 Splintered 0 1+
2 Pine 0 5+
3 Elm 0 10+
4 Oak 5 15+
5 Ironwood 10 20+
6 Heartwood 15 25+
7 Runewood 20 30+
8 Stonewood 25 35+
9 Ebonwood 30 40+
10 Drywood 35 45+
11 Darkwood 40 50+
12 Steelwood 45 55+
13 Angelwood 50 60+
14 Godwood 55 65+

That is an easy way on how you can do the math for rods.
6x25

Each level req is by 25
Splintered 25
Pine 50
and so on.

Rod durability chart:

1 Splintered - 25
2 Pine - 50
3 Elm - 75
4 Oak - 100
5 Ironwood - 125
6 Heartwood - 150
7 Runewood - 175
8 Stonewood - 200
9 Ebonwood - 225
10 Drywood - 250
11 Darkwood - 275
12 Steelwood - 300
13 Angelwood - 325
14 Godwood - 350

Quite a timely guide
Can a level 20 monster drop a Stonewood or higher mob or is it like other drops? Do monsters still spawn in the pool? Is there a chart for skill level required to catch certain fish?
These are all answered in the ls link at the top I reckon :)

durability goes up by 25 each tier right ?
so a tier 6 , level requirement 25 heartwood rod would have how much durability ?

Thanks.
