so i went melee from 1-40, than im doing 40-mq as a caster

dmg is fine , my int is at 141 @ level 45,
problem is
i only have 3k mana
and it is hard to keep up with shrines

any ideas?

im using
35 int dagger lvl 45
41 int chain with 3% mana syphon
145 ee fire
120ee wild heal

Try upgrading to items that have nice intel and extra max mana/ mana per attack/ mana per kill as a side bonus or you can stock up on max mana glyphs and fish stacks of mana or mana comfreys work nice too for mana issues.

Also if you feel the need to heal your self alot you might need to add more vita in the beginning of your climb and get it to about 65-70 points or try to find an armor with ee and nice intel.
GL though cause Hybrid builds can be costly.

Dont do this you already hurt enough for mana

get heavy armors or med armors for every 5-10 levels at least. if u cant do that dont cast sammy.

Or be friendly to some fisher-guys.

Using some fish to get some mana recovered or life ( so u nn to heal yourself ) for 1-2 shriners more :-)

by level 60 i had about 5.2k mana, and it worked out pretty good - just as long as i had a decent group

was pretty hard to solo cuz id eventually run out of shrines( was only able to gain about 20% of a level before having to shrine )

If you do find yourself soloing, get some Mana Regen gear, it should be extremely cheap to get yourself some nice amounts of it, and with having lower mana on sammy you'll be able to regen much quicker.

besides what has been stated... here are some other little options for you.

1. Weapon... also find these with EE + Int...
... this way you can melee with your base stats.

2. Armor... find these with Int + Str (sword) or Dex (dagger) mods as well as what has been stated
... this way your melee dmg while out of mana can help you to continue on killiing

3. Main charm... if healing/casting on main... have ee + int or str or dex or combinations int + xx
... this way you can have melee stats as well

4. Solo'ing... find yourself a Well and do NOT explore the map...
... this way you will be able to pick up any white items and well them to get shrinables
... This is by far the fastest way besides using Mana regen gear.
