Its simple.
You enter the catacombs and kill the monsters. (or join a group and kill with other ppl)
If your just starting out swords are best (imo)
That will take you from feeder to monk without haveing to buy gear.
You would want swords with ee- enhanced effect...and str charms.
You can tank with ee armurs or mellee with str armurs.
Your stat depend on the weapon of your choice.
Also you can cast. You would need int weapon/armur (mage is best mule class)
And ee charms and ee heals.
