what gear would you prefer your 5man tank to use? I ask, cause my damage isn't super in the homestretch of a 1-71. Just wondering if it would be more beneficial to the group to use more damage or tankage.

Damage:
~100ee level 35 weapon
~125ee level 55 armor
~30str charm

Tankage:
vit weapon (I have a 30 something vit level 45, so a little damage can be had)
~125ee level 55 armor
vit charm

Use EE weapon
Use EE armor
Use Stat Charm

Win!

Vita is fun to play around with but the lack of EE weapon damage can be pretty pitiful and sometimes a burden. If you have a group capable of high damage output, go for it, but if not, I would just stick with using an EE armor, stat a bit of vita of course, then go for EE weapon and boost your damage as well.

I have tested it a few ways on SC, and would always prefer more damage than someone with an insane amount of HP. If you were farming Ambush or something risky, this could be different.

If you can get the job done more than adequately and make the runs faster by doing more damage I imagine that would be the groups's preference.

nutshell: Able to survive + damage > Overkill on survive-ability

imo if u can take 3 eps solo then u make fg...... attempt to go tank on charm and armor and ee on weap.... e very second climb i find something worth 2kfg +

the idea that you could specialise in one particular area and allow others to do so too is excellent.
the only issue you would have however is that you then require a very high calibre of team for the format to be viable.
It is unlikely that this would then prove the most beneficial route for all as a fully balanced tanking char with serious damage makes the group stronger and a team of this quality would be able to supply that.
nice idea though, i can tell you that my guildmate joined my warlock just to prevent my top up healing thus our overall group dmg increased considerably over what the addition of a sub par barb would. it does work. teamwork is imperative though and a good mutual understanding
