After being absent for about a year I noticed ALOT of changes in LS (not to mention everyone asking about my +14 luck club) I decided to give LS a try again!

What is the strongest build for solo cats? What is best way to get GODLY items, etc!!!

No promises but I might pitch in some fg to the person with the best advice: AND NO I DON'T WANT TO SPEND HOURS SEARCHING THROUGH COUNTLESS GUIDES, SO GIVE ME THE QUICK AND SIMPLE VERSION PLEASE!!!!

In my opinion, start with a fighter or a barb. Get EE swords, Str plates and Str charms to level up with. You'll do a ton of damage if you buy nice gear. The reason I say to start off with fighter and to buy those items is because those items will carry on all the way to pally, which is nice cus then you won't have to buy new gear for a while. Soloing shouldn't be a problem for a fighter/barb.

However, if you want to solo really fast and efficiently, not caring about passing, go Magician. I say this cus then you can buy charms for damaging AND healing. You rarely have to take a break, and the powercast ability allows you to hit a crapload of damage, not to mention your normal damage will be great anyways. If you need help with items for mage lmk.

Best way to find godly items? IMO there is none. Just do a lot of group runs, try to look for the NMNM quest which spawns a LOT of evil presences, because they drop a ton of stuff. However, it's a rare quest, and people seldom want to spend the time looking for it!

Anything else you wanna ask, PM me. Glad to help :)

Some really good points here, if i elaborate on a few ideas, i believe dex is the way to go for faster lvling solo especially with swords since i notice critting alot more often,

for gear i would suggest pure strg or ee/life scale - balanced defense against magical and melee hits for reduced shrining (a change that brought magical defense into play with the robes-chains)

best way ive noticed for godly items would be at lvl 67-69 (in my experience) to find 3+ eps solo... thats where i made just about all my fg ... also get a vault and put all lvl 20 + whites into it and when you reach a well do them all at once... some people have found some gg items there not me personally yet though

A mediocre team of 5 people will get to MQ far faster than even the best equipped solo player. The game has moved drastically in a team-oriented playstyle now, with the removal of Arena, the changing of how one can now enter the town/catacombs at will, and the addition of abilities. These are things to take into consideration. Not trying to down-play solo, but it is quite different and often times more difficult than the old ways of soloing Arena.

Mage is an ok choice, however I would prefer to use a heavy healer, such as a Guardian. You can use some of his gear on Samurai should you pass, and all of it on Paladin. Mage gear won't help you much on Samurai nor Paladin, which is why I would suggest Guardian.

Get some EE clubs, some EE armors, and some Heal charms. If you can manage to get some sexy casting mods on the weapon/armor such as Mana, Heal Mastery or Intelligence you would be doing well. You can also get a heal-boosting main charm, something with high Heal Mastery and perhaps Mana or Int or even Crit/Str to help melee damage. With this setup, you can solo doing melee damage, as well as heal yourself quite nicely. If/When you pass to Samurai, you can pass the armor and charms onto him, and find new weapons. Then when you pass to Paladin, he can use all your Guard's gear (as well as stuff for Samurai)

Just my 2 cents. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more about the current game, or if you need advice. Not looking for FG, just trying to help a stranger. :)

e: The best way to get godly items would be (in my opinion) playing in groups and looking for Evil Presences as well as trying to hit the No Maze No More objective. Pinch of Evil and Face the Evil can also give you some goodies. Items spawn more frequently with more people in the group, and we have been told that the group's magic luck is increased with the more that join. There have been some nice items found soloing, but far far more found in groups.

You could also just buy them... :P
